try it on tuesday card challange

The challenge this week over at Try it on Tuesday is to create a card inspired from a room in your house and is being sponsored by One stop card Crafts. My inspiration picture is from my Miniature greenhouse. Mum and I made it as a project and since my room is a mess I figured it would make a better picture. I used the red from the floor as my card colour and the yellow from our favourite flower(below) for the roses.(We made the yellow flowers with Fimo)
The rose is a stamp(sorry I do not know the name)inked with yellow distress ink coloured with yellow pro marker. I layered it 3 times for each. The Leaves are from Prima. the border of the card is done with Dylusions paint. Hope you like it. Thank you for looking at my blog! Can't wait to get time to work on another project and post. My project for Try it on Tuesday challenge.

OK, I am have been working on a project for a challenge over at Try it on Tuesday The theme challenge was to alter a frame. This challenge is being sponsored by the Craft Barn. I could not find a frame so I made a shadowbox frame using a box. Here is my project. I used used a mosaic technique Mum had taught me. Below are the directions. To make my box I used a small box and cut a rectangular sized hole in it! Next I covered the box with sticky paper! I then cut small pieces of scrap paper with straight lines as edges and stuck the pieces of paper onto the box making sure that none of the edges touched and left a gap between each. I then sprinkled Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powder over all the gaps and heated with the heat gun to emboss. For the inside of the frame I cut 3 different sizes of flowers with the Tim holtZ Tattered florals die and put them together with a brad. the flourish is also a Tim Holtz Die. the background is some gold fibered paper we got at the Harrogate show. I also added the lace around the sides in the frame. Once the inside was complete I added a clear plastic sheet to cover the frame opening. I then used a butterfly stamp from the Stamp man and coloured it with promarkers. The antennas are made using some wire bits twirled at the ends. Sorry I am last minute in posting this but it took me all week to complete then mum had to check my post (to make sure I did not post anything I was not supposed to) before I could put it on and she was busy. I hope you like my frame. Thank you for all the wonderful comments my followers have been leaving. I really enjoy getting them and look forward to reading them each time. Thanks for coming to visit me and my creations. Ta Ta for now. Love Belle! Posted by Belle. April 4 2011
