try it on tuesday card challange
The challenge this week over at Try it on Tuesday is to create a card inspired from a room in your house and is being sponsored by One stop card Crafts. My inspiration picture is from my Miniature greenhouse. Mum and I made it as a project and since my room is a mess I figured it would make a better picture. I used the red from the floor as my card colour and the yellow from our favourite flower(below) for the roses.(We made the yellow flowers with Fimo)
The rose is a stamp(sorry I do not know the name)inked with yellow distress ink coloured with yellow pro marker. I layered it 3 times for each. The Leaves are from Prima. the border of the card is done with Dylusions paint. Hope you like it. Thank you for looking at my blog! Can't wait to get time to work on another project and post. My project for Try it on Tuesday challenge.
OK, I am have been working on a project for a challenge over at Try it on Tuesday The theme challenge was to alter a frame. This challenge is being sponsored by the Craft Barn. I could not find a frame so I made a shadowbox frame using a box. Here is my project. I used used a mosaic technique Mum had taught me. Below are the directions. To make my box I used a small box and cut a rectangular sized hole in it! Next I covered the box with sticky paper! I then cut small pieces of scrap paper with straight lines as edges and stuck the pieces of paper onto the box making sure that none of the edges touched and left a gap between each. I then sprinkled Tim Holtz Distress Embossing powder over all the gaps and heated with the heat gun to emboss. For the inside of the frame I cut 3 different sizes of flowers with the Tim holtZ Tattered florals die and put them together with a brad. the flourish is also a Tim Holtz Die. the background is some gold fibered paper we got at the Harrogate show. I also added the lace around the sides in the frame. Once the inside was complete I added a clear plastic sheet to cover the frame opening. I then used a butterfly stamp from the Stamp man and coloured it with promarkers. The antennas are made using some wire bits twirled at the ends. Sorry I am last minute in posting this but it took me all week to complete then mum had to check my post (to make sure I did not post anything I was not supposed to) before I could put it on and she was busy. I hope you like my frame. Thank you for all the wonderful comments my followers have been leaving. I really enjoy getting them and look forward to reading them each time. Thanks for coming to visit me and my creations. Ta Ta for now. Love Belle! Posted by Belle. April 4 2011

My Weekend away with Mum
Sorry I have not posted in a very long time but I broke my computer and Mum would not let me use hers. School has been really busy too. this weekend I got to go to my first crafting retreat with my Mum. We went to the Lovin Ink weekend retreat in Skipton. It was so much fun. This is the box I made. We got to do so many things and Janet and Michelle were so nice. They taught us so many things to do making buttons, flowers stamping and more. Here are some of the things we made below.
I also got to meet a new friend Leonie. She got to come with her mum on Sunday. We really had alot of fun together and I cannot wait to see her again and do some more crafing. Now I have to get to bed. School tomorrow. Thank you for looking at my blog and have a good night. I promise I will post more often now. Belle.

Some paper, tape and bubble wrap and a design
So here was my design ...
Hope you like it. I had a blast! Belle
and Here is what I created.
There was a craft workshop at Benningbrough hall while we wee visiting today and we got to create costumes using inspiration from period costumes they showed us. I chose to make a whole dress and my friend Alexandra made the hat while her sister did another dress. The catch was that you had to use the materials they had there which were paper rolls, straws, burlap, feathers, pompoms, tape, scissors and bubblewrap. there was also a small bit of material scraps and ribbons. Above is a picture of the dress I made using entirely paper, tape and bubblewrap. It was fun and we even got to have a photoshoot that will be in tommorrows Yorkshire press. I cannot wait to see it. This is Alexandras hat above and below is franchesca's dress.
Hope you like it. I had a blast! Belle

Mussie tussie - Our Vintage Affair June Challenge
Here is a mussie tussie that me and mom worked on together. We made the tussie using K and Co paper, lace and ribbon. The plaid paper around the top is folded to look like a ribbon(mom did this). It is topped with Lace and then cream satin ribbon. The flowers are all handmade by me using Bog shot die cuts, K and Co paper, book pages, ink, and beading supplies. I made each flower a bit different. The bottom of the tussie then has little ribbons with more beading I did with a lace ruffle. I really like beading alot. Mom helped put the tussie together. The feathers were also my idea because of the photos we took of the baby birds. This project is for the Our Vintage Affair June challenge.
Above is a close up of the handmade flowers.
this picture above is of the bottom with the beading.
this is another closeup of my favourite of the flowers. The picture below is the inspiration we used to create the Mussie Tussie. We have 4 baby birds nesting in the doorway outside. In this picture you can just see one of them.
I hope you like our project and I love to read comments if you would be so kind as to leave me one. thank you for dropping in. Belle

Guess what!!!
We went to the fish store this past weekend to get some more girl fish for the boys in the tank since a few got sick and died. Well last night we found more babies! One of the new fish had babies and there are about 20 of them although you can only see a few in this picture! they are so tiny but since this is the baby tank the other fish do not bother them. the fish next to them is Mad hatter he is crazy! We already have the fish nursery filled with babies from the last batch and now we have more. Good thing we brought some of the original babies to the fish store. Gotta get on to my homework now. thanks for stopping in and have a sunny day! Belle
